You probably hear from other CrossFitters often… “If you want to take your fitness to the next level, try CrossFit.”

You have been curious about trying CrossFit, but maybe a little intimidated… We know, we’ve been there.

It’s not what you think… no seriously. I am sure you hear that from seasoned CrossFitters often, but truly starting your next level of fitness isn’t as hardcore as what you see on TV complements of Reebok, ESPN, and the CrossFit Games.

Here are three things at CrossFit Banshee that are different than what you may think CrossFit is:

ONE: You don’t have to get fit to start CrossFit.

Whatever level of fitness (or lack of) that you currently have is where we’ll meet you at.

In fact, all of the coaches you will work with at CrossFit Banshee had that exact same question when they began their CrossFit journey. The first time they walked in they felt out of shape and found they would still be able to do the workout even if they didn’t have a pull up.

Not only will you be able to do our workouts, you will complete one that is appropriately challenging for you whether you feel like you are at the top of your game or still just trying to locate your gym shoes.

TWO: CrossFit can be done safely.

Your cousin Joe hobbled into your family dinner wearing his slipped disk like a badge of honor. He is half looking for sympathy half bragging about his sore lower back from that sick workout he beat the whole gym at yesterday. You hear the whole story and think… What a joke, first of all what was he thinking and second… who encouraged him to do that?!?

At CrossFit Banshee you will not be thrown into a workout with a weight, movement, time, or pace we know you cannot complete safely. You will go through various classes to help us learn you while you are learning the movements. As can happen with people who haven’t had much occasion to use their full bodies in a workout we find some areas that may need some extra attention. For example, your shoulders may not have the range of motion that your 5 year old who swings from bar to bar on the jungle gym with ease. We have plans in place for just those kind of obstacles.

THREE: You won’t receive the awkward once over or mad dog looks when you walk in the gym doors or go through the class.

Not only do we love to get to know and help new people (it’s good for business 🙂 ) our members are just as excited about showing the ropes to the new kids on the block.
