ROMWOD is coming

CrossFit Banshee will be offering ROMWOD in our facility.

ROMWOD stands for Range Of Motion Workout Of the Day. It is a website that provides daily videos designed to increase range of motion, optimize athletic performance, and promote recovery, healing, and longevity.ROMWOD Pic 1
Who is ROMWOD for?
ROMWOD is for everyone! This program was designed by CrossFitters to address the number one limiting factor of all athletes, their range of motion! But range of motion is not an issue that is present only in the gym. Range of motion limits everyone, and whether you are trying to get into better positioning in your overhead squat or you just want to sit on the floor to play with your children, ROMWOD is the answer that your body needs to open and free your joints.

Increased range of motion leads to better position and recovery in all weightlifting, Olympic weightlifting, athletic and functional movements. Achieving better position leads to increased power and efficiency. By moving closer to proper movement patterns through increased range of motion you decrease your chance for injury. By strengthening ligaments and fascia you create longevity in your joints and tissues. Recovery is increased through the natural release of hyaluronic acid which is intentionally stimulated throughout ROMWOD’s programing.ROMWOD’s focus on breathing techniques prepares your mind for battle. Your body is capable of doing anything your mind allows it to do, so training your mind to focus through any challenge can help your performance at the gym, on the field, and in life.

We will be dedicating time, space and audio visual equipment to help get this started.   If you’re not sure if its for you, you’re welcome to try it out for the rest of August for FREE.   Starting in September for those wanting to join us for ROMWOD, we’ll add $10 per month on your account to help offset the costs associated with running the program.  Daily routines run about 20 mins with 1 longer routine programmed weekly.  We have yoga mats and other equipment available to help with the program.
