Workouts:

Here are the group workouts for the week of March 22, 2021. To get the workouts and other videos as soon as they are released like the video and subscribe to the LMI Fitness YouTube channel.

Events: 

Dr. Riley Kulm with Mile High Spine and Sport Thursday, March 25 6 pm

Chiropractor Dr. Riley will visit before and during our 6:30 pm class and meet with anyone who has any pains, injuries, tightness, etc. We have been working with the doctors at Mile High Spine and Sport to help keep our bodies happy, healthy, and in the gym.

Breathwork Challenge

Each day you will have the opportunity to develop a breathwork practice. This is open to members and non-members alike (feel free to share with your friends)! The great thing about breathwork is that it can be practiced anywhere. 

The practice does not have to be complicated, it can be as simple as breathing in for a count of 4, holding for a count of 4, breathing out for a count of 4, holding out for a count of 4 repeated for a certain amount of reps and/or time. 

We will post resources of different practices and benefits of doing the practice throughout the month,  so follow our Instagram and Facebook pages for more. 

How to Participate:

Grab a picture of yourself practicing and share it with us on Instagram, Facebook, text (720-588-8311), or email.You can also  comment on a post, text, or email us your experiences as you go through it. We will tally participation and gift a container of Charlotte’s Web CBD Gummies at the beginning of April 2021.

Nutrition Challenge

For the month of April, we will be doing a nutrition challenge. We will meet on Wednesday, March 31st at 5:30 pm as a kick-off to the challenge with a mini-workshop and planning session.
The cost of the Nutrition Challenge is $35. Place your name on the sign up sheet in the gym or text Anna at 720-588-8311 if you would like to be included in the challenge. This challenge is open to members and non-members.

Details of Challenge:
Much like CrossFit, nutrition has a hierarchy that creates a solid base for you to know and learn your body before you experiment with more advanced nutrition practices.

At the base of these practices is Mindful Eating and Eating According to Your Hunger. From there we work up to building a balanced plate (portions/macros) and then the source or quality of your food.

In past nutrition challenges, we have worked on Eating According to Hunger. In this challenge, we are opening up the base of what we practice a little further allowing you to choose the level you would like to practice within the fundamentals.

We will have accountability logs/journals that will help you gather data on your habit. We are looking for 30 days of logging for the month of April. This journal is a habit-practicing journal rather than a food journal. You will be able to choose 1 of 3 different journals to keep and turn in at the end of the challenge. Along with the journals we will be taking 9 measurements at the beginning and end of the challenge.

Choose from one of these 3 journals:

*Eat According to Hunger: On a scale of 1-10 how hungry were you when you started eating? How hungry when you finished eating?

*Portions: What amount of protein, veggies, fat, and carbs are in each of your meals?

*Whole Foods: Did you eat foods consisting of whole foods or 3 ingredients or less (of foods you recognize!) at each meal?

Each of these journals will require you to check in every time you eat!

Running Workshop

Running workshop Details:

We’ll start the 1st week of April and run until memorial day.    There will be an initial assessment and form coaching,  a mid-way hands-on class,  and another class the last week.    Additionally, 2 programed running workouts per week with accountability.    Early sign up (before 3/20) $60, afterward $75.   Minimum of 5 people needed

Friday Night Lights

This week will be the final Friday Night Lights workout for the CrossFit Open. Come in and do the workout and cheer on your friends this Friday from 4:30-6:30 pm.
