After reading the Blog from Beyond the Whiteboard about the statistics of CrossFit workouts programmed around the world, we started wondering how we stacked up.
We took a look at the Workout loading, Rep Ranges, Workout Schemes, and Time Domain to see where we spent the bulk of our efforts in 2015.
2015 Workout Loading
For WOD Loading, lighter workouts reigned supreme at 44%, followed by moderate loads at 33%, and heavy loads rounding out the rest at 27%. The second half of the year was actually weighted down a little more than the first half helping to bring the moderate loading up a little.
2015 Workout Scheme
Based on the CrossFit HQ model, Couplets and Triplets should be the predominant scheme. In 2015 CrossFit Banshee programming matched that methodology pretty well.
Couplets and Triplets were very close accounting for 32% and 36% respectively leaving the remaining 32% for Singlet and Chipper workouts.
2015 Workout Time Domain
CrossFit is well known for tough workouts that are fast and furious. The CrossFit Banshee 2015 time domains broke out to live mostly in the 10 – 20 time range.
